Dusty Turns Three

A few weeks ago I talked about Celebrating Your Dogs Birthday, where I shared a few pictures from Dusty's 1st birthday party. Yesterday Dusty turned three years old, and of course we had a little celebration for him!
I received a mini paw print cake from The Dog Haus Bakery, a brand new mobile dog bakery here in Charlotte. I have to say that they did a wonderful job. It not only looked beautiful but Dusty thought it was DELICIOUS!

I can't believe my little Dusty is three years old!

First Day of Spring!

Happy first day of spring!

Spring is looking exciting and busy! If you follow me on Instagram you know that the past month I have been lucky enough to travel to Mexico and Michigan to spend time with family and friends. I enjoyed catching up with many people I have missed since moving to Charlotte. Now I am back home in The Queen City just in time for the SPRING weather. YAY! This weekend is already jam packed with excitement! Michael and I will be beginning our search for a new apartment on Saturday. I love apartment hunting, it is so fun! After that we are attending All Ale to the Queen, a beer carnival. I think I read that they are going to have peanut butter and jelly flavored beer, sounds interesting.

Enjoy the sunshine!

Celebrating Your Dogs Birthday

Coming up at the end of March is Dusty's 3rd birthday. Just to let you know, I am definitely that crazy lady who throws birthday parties for her dog. Some people may call it crazy, I say find any reason to laugh and celebrate, even pet birthdays! I am not sure what we are going to do to celebrate this year, but I thought it would be fun to share a few photos from Dusty's 1st birthday party. It was a real birthday bash. I invited dogs, ordered a cake from Three Dog Bakery and even baked cupcakes for the the humans to enjoy!

It was tough getting all the dogs to smile for the camera! ;)

I may have went a little overboard, but it was fun! Have you ever thrown a birthday party for one of your pets? Or am I the only freak around here?

Life Begins at the End of Your Comfort Zone

Can you believe it has almost been a WHOLE year since Michael, Dusty and I moved to North Carolina? What a year it has been for us, full of exciting and scary moments. I have attempted many new things, some turned out to be awesome, others not so much. One thing I never thought I would do is become a blogger. Who ever thought I would basically have an online diary that everyone can read? Crazy!

I love blogging, I love the friends I have made through blogging and I love the fact that I don't need an excuse to go to the park and take a bunch of pointless pictures anymore. They are for my blog, duh! In all seriousness this blog has really made me step outside of my comfort zone. Most of you only know me online, I may seem outgoing, but in person I am actually shy and tend to be very quiet and reserved. Through this blog I have even attended meetings with The Charlotte Social. Once a month a bunch of bloggers meet somewhere in Charlotte just to hang out. I attend these meetings alone, not knowing a single person there. It is extremely intimidating!

As Michael and I begin searching for a new place in Charlotte to call home I can't help but look back at this year and reminisce. This past year I have probably cried way too much, but I have learned so much about myself along the way. I feel proud of what I have accomplished and I recommend all of you to step outside of your comfort zone too. It can be very rewarding!

Here's to trying new things!
